Easy Pasta, Mamma!

This is probably the easiest recipe you'll ever make. I got the idea when I was at an Italian restaurant and we ordered this super simple dish that I decided to make as a staple at home. Granted I have no idea how they made it, but this is how I decided to make it!

It's full of flavor and what I love about it is that most of these flavors come from delicious whole foods. It's probably just like a deconstructed pasta sauce but with out dirtying the food processor and pots and pans.

All you need:

2-3 Tomatoes, cut bite sized

2 tbsp garlic, minced

1 bunch basil

olive oil

Salt & pepper

16 oz mason jar

1 Box of your favorite pasta

optional: nutritional yeast, for topping


1. Add tomatoes, garlic, basil, & some pinches of salt and pepper to a 16 oz mason jar

2. Fill up the rest of the space in the jar with olive oil. Let sit for 4+ hours or cook on a stove to blend flavors. *Note, I just do the above steps in the morning and throw the lid on and set it on the counter for the day to let the flavors blend, but if you forget you can def just blend the flavors by simmering for 5 mins or so.

3. Make pasta according to instructions. I love using protein pasta made from quinoa or legumes!

4. Once pasta is done, strain, pour, mix over pasta and Enjoy!

**Top with Nutritional Yeast if desired
