
If any of you out there reading this are like me, you secretly have a sweet tooth. How many times have you wanted dessert for breakfast? Okay.. now how many of you have wanted an ice cream dessert for breakfast? I recently came up with a GUILT FREE alternative to banana foster!
Recipe below:
ICE-CREAM-Less PROTEIN BANANA FOSTER
180 Calories
9G Protein
4G Sugar (from honey. No added sugar)
6G Fiber
Omega 3
Magnesium
Iron
Ingredients:
1 banana (Caramelized in 2tsp Coconut oil, 2 tsp honey -or maple syrup and 1 tsp cinnamon)
1 cup (dairy free) yogurt
1 TBS vegan vanilla protein powder
1 TBS raw cacao nibs
1/2 TBS chia seed
1tsp flax seed
Topping:
1tsp cacao powder
1tsp chia seed
1tsp hemp seed
1tsp flax seed
1tbs raw cacao nibs
Instructions:
Caramelize Banana- in a sauce pan place oil, honey and cinnamon in a sauce pan until begins to bubble, add in banana (purée or crush with a fork), cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown
In a bowl add banana with dairy-free yogurt, protein powder, cacao nibs, chia seed and flax seed.
place into serving dish.
